Along with this is learning the proper direction to work the coat, so as to obtain the best result, whether it is with or against the lay of the hair. It is important that we also keep in mind that a dog's hair grows out of its skin and for this reason it is also good to have an understanding of the skin's functions and problems to that you will be better prepared to deal with any possible problems.
