basset hounds

I have two basset hound pups that are around six months old, I noticed this morning it looks like both of them have what appears to be a new fold growing on their long floppy ears. Is this normal? on the bottom inside the flap seems to be growing into another one or is this some sort of deformity?

Hi Maba and welcome to SeeFido........I honestly know very very little about Basset hounds. If you are truly worried about this, contact the breeder you got them from. A good breeder is always happy to answer questions about their puppies and will be anxious to help you out with your concerns. You may also want to pick up a couple books on the breed or do some searching on the internet.........

For this breed, walks are the best.......but be very sure first of all they have sound joints! Very few bassets do...it is a breed problem! And make sure you are feeding them correctly. Way too many bassets are over fed.....As you do have two, they should enjoy running around and playing with each other too! Would love to see pictures of them if you want to post them!!
