They tend to see children as rivalry for the love an affection that they feel is strictly theirs. Our Washington DC Dog Breeder also told us that this dog needs to get walked every day in order to stay healthy. They also love going out with their owners, and a good run once in a while will not hurt them. But something we were told is that their short muzzles slow down their breathing and when the climate is very hot it is important the owner makes sure they not overdo it with the amount of exercise and running they get. Our Washington DC Dog Breeder also told us this breed needs daily coat brushing and that it's grooming should be done by a professional dog groomer.
