Tyrolese Pointer Dog Breed

The Tyrolese pointer descends from a variety of local breeds and in its country of origin; it is used for different types of hunting, according to the land. There are two sizes. This breed has a long head and a light skeleton; big hanging ears put very high. The eyes are big and the iris is brown chestnut. The occiput must be marked, especially in dogs. The tail is long and it is slightly curved. The hair is short.
The basic colors can be black, red or fawn. The small signs of white and tricolors are both accepted. The height at withers is 40 to 48 cm for the large variety and 30 to 39 cm for the small variety.
