Tibetan Mastiff Dog Breed
Great Britain
Although the ICF (International Canine Federation), the Tibetan mastiff is officially considered as a British breed, it is really a product of the plains of Central Asia. It is said that in its country of origin it is used to guard sheep and cattle. It is a very robust and heavy breed and it looks a lot like the Saint Bernard; the ears are small and are taken very close to the skull which is wide and deep. The eyes are deep and brown; the tail is put high and carried curved over the loin. The hair must be black or cinnamon or gold, but pure black is also acceptable. The height at withers must be 64 to 69 cm in males and 56 to 61 cm in females.
