The Puppy Becomes More Independent

After about three weeks, the puppy already starts to regulate his own body heat, can see and hear well and can move around easily. It is then that you must provide the puppy with enough space to move around and a place where he can do his needs. For that, you should put the puppy bed in a corner where it won't get in the way of the puppies playing, but making sure that they are aware that the bed is not a place to play. You can cover the rest of the room floor with newspaper in such a way that the puppies can move around freely. The sheets of paper must be changed regularly whenever they are humid or dirty.

Little by little, you can go introducing different games and toys (puppy-specific toys and big cardboard boxes), with which they will develop their skills and creativity. And, most important of all, you must continue spending lots of your time with them in order to foment the development of a confident and mature character, especially important in big dogs.

If the house has a terrace or garden, and if the climate is good enough, let them play around outside for a lot of hours. You just have to make sure there are no poisonous plants that could hurt or kill your pet. Remember that the sun is one of the best allies during the losses of growth and development because it helps the bones and skin. Of course, you have to make sure that they're not under the sun too long.
