Steinbracke Dog Breed

Steinbracke Dog Breed

Germany

The Steinbracke is less common than most of the other breeds of the pointer group and the breed's official standard is very short. Compared for example to the Westphalian Dachsbracke, the Steinbracke has longer legs and its figure is squarer. The head is long and light and the eyes have a light color and the iris is dark. The ears are big and inserted high on the head, they are taken close to the head. The tail is put high and it has a bone-haired plume at an end. The hair is very short and thigh; it is always tricolor.

The breed is described as a "medium size", but in the standard does not specify the height.
