Spanish Hound Dog Breed

Spain

It is said that this Spanish hound is many centuries old. Besides tracking the prey and making it fly towards the shotguns, it is used as a guard and police dog. There are two varieties of sizes and both must have the head wide and solid, the eyes must be light or dark chestnut; the ears must be long and the tail is taken a bit curved towards the inside when it is calm.

The color is white with big orange and black patches. The height at withers for the common Spanish hound is 51 to 56 cm in males and 49 to 52 in females. The height of the smallest variety should not be more than 51 and 49 cm, respectively.
