 | Portuguese Pointer Dog Breed Perdigueiro PortuguêsPortugal It is likely that this Portuguese pointer descends from the Italian pointer and the Spanish Pointer from Burgos, but its constitution is lighter than this last one. It looks like a combination of the pointer and the Hungarian vizla. The head is very wide, the snout is moderately short and flat; the ears are fallen and thin. The tail is normally a third of the natural length. The hair is short and coarse and a golden brown, darker on the head than on the rest of the body. The height at withers is 56 cm in males and 52 in females but the height may vary 2.5 cm more or less. |
