The Polish Hound has remained almost unknown outside its native country. For many years, it has been raised for a specific function on a determined terrain. It is famous for having a high sound when barking.

The Ogar Polski, with a much greater physical build than other Center-European and Scandinavian breeds of the greyhound / foxhound type, it has a strong head, dark and little oblique eyes and ears at a low level, fairly stuck to the head. It has a long and thick tail, which is at the loin level when active.

The coat color is dark grey or dark brown in the body, the limbs and head have a lighter tone. Its height at withers is 56-65 cm for male dogs and 55-60 for female dogs.
