Line Breeding Dog
Line breeding consists in crossing the female with a male from the same family, having in common fourth or fifth generation ancestors. This is a very asserted and intelligent breeding policy, as long as you perfectly know all the males and females that compose the genealogical tree of each one of the progenitors of the future litter. It isn't enough to just base your decision on what people might say about the dogs; on the contrary, you must overly investigate and verify the quality of each and every member in the genealogical tree. Unluckily, this is not always possible, especially for someone is starting out with a breed and is, therefore, not so immersed in the circle of breeders; in other words, a newbie.
However, it's fair to say that most respectable breeding programs are precisely based on this method, sporadically combining it with the in-breeding method in between two exceptional samples or with the out-crossing method in order to refresh the blood, in a determined moment.
