Hrvatski Ovar Dog BreedYugoslavia The Croatian sheepdog is a well-defined Pomeranian type with a lively expression, very pricked pointy ears and the head like a cone. However, the body is longer than most other Pomeranian breeds and it can even have a short tail naturally or it can be docked intentionally. The fur of the body is thick and slightly wavy, abundant in the back part of the muscles and around the neck, but short on the head, legs and feet. The color is black, although small white patches are allowed but not desired.The height at withers may vary between 40 and 50 cm the same as for males and females. Illyrian Hound Dog Breed The Illyrian hound is a strong dog with a solid constitution that is used to hunt wild boars, foxes and hares. It has a rectangular figure; the head is wide, the ears are long and hanging and the tail is slightly curved. The hair is coarse and wire. It may be white, fawn, cinnamon or gray with small patches especially on the ears of a color that creates a contrast. The height at withers is 46 to 55 cm Istrski kratkodlaki Gonic Yugoslavia The hunting dog from Istria has a surprising resemblance with the common Pointer; it is not used, however, as a pointing dog, but to locate the prey with smell or make it fly towards the shotguns. The color, according to the breed standard, should be "snow white", with orange patches on the ears. The patches may go to the body particularly at the base of the tail. The height at withers is 46 to 58 cm in males and in females it should not exceed 52 cm. The mean weight is 18 kg. Istrski Gonic Dog Breed The wire-haired Istrian hound shares almost all the characteristics of its smooth-haired relative, except for the hair which is straight, rough and abundant. Yugoslavian drobojni gonic The tricolor hunting dog is a very small hound and its physical constitution is not very robust, the body is rectangular, the eyes are dark and have a friendly expression and rounded ears that are taken close to the head. The tail must be taken to the level of the loin which should be straight or –as the standard says– "like a Turkish saber". The hair must be short, thick and shinny. A small frayed edge at the lower part of the tail is accepted. The color that prevails is black with a fawn shade on the legs, abdomen, tail and the lower part of the body. The head has some golden marks and it should also have a white mark. The marks of lighter color should not prevail, and they are only allowed on the head, chest, neck and feet not on the body.
