The sleigh dogs from Canada and Greenland are not very different in type therefore it is debatable if they should be judged as two breeds. What is applicable to the Greenland dog may also be applicable to most Eskimo dogs. In general, this last one has the back a bit shorter and it is heavier; this does not mean that it is taller. But this cannot even be considered as a fix rule.

All the colors are acceptable. The weight varies a lot (a male may weigh the double of a female, both within the standard), but they usually weigh from 35 to 40 kg. The height is not specified at withers but normally is about 60 cm.
