Braque Saint-Germain Dog BreedFrance The close relationship between Braque Saint-Germain and the Pointer is obvious; it is believed that this breed owes its origin to the breed between an imported English Pointer and French Braques, back in the 19th Century.Despite the fact that the Braque Saint-Germain is similar to the Pointer, it does not need to be muscled or possess a very solid skeleton. The head is less typical than that of the Pointer. It has a flesh-colored nose and amber eyes. Like in the Pointer case, it needs to have the tail lined up with the back and without any cut; a cut coat but very rough. It is white-colored, with shiny orange spots. Its height at withers must not be less than 50 cm and more than 62 cm for male dogs, and from 54 to 59 for female dogs. |
