Bouvier des Ardennes Dog Breed

The vigorous Bouvier des Ardennes exists in two sizes and in its country of origin is almost as popular as the most known variety of Flandes. It is said that this breed is carrying out its old job in some regions of the country. It also shows very hostile to strangers and very affectionate to its master.

The head is big and heavy and it has sideburns, beard and very hairy eyebrows. The ears that are not docked have to be pricked although the half-straightened ears are accepted. The tail is docked very short. The hair on the legs and feet must be short.

All the colors are accepted. The height at withers should not exceed 60 cm for the smaller variety while the bigger one should exceed this measurement.
