Nowadays, the Saint Hubert Bloodhound is known as the ancient house dogpet, wrinkled, and of a mild nature. However, it is sometimes used to track people who have run away or have been are lost missing, a precise working job in which its for its sharp sense of smell and its ability to follow a track makes it perfectly capable.

Today, the Saint Hubert Bloodhound is considered of pure British breed, as from centuries ago, it is in Great Britain where it is more used and appreciated, despite of descending from an ancient French bloodhound.

Saint Hubert Bloodhound is a big, strong dog, with a sensible and worthy look. It gives the expression that its skin is too big for it. It has a long and tight head, and long, very smooth, and drooping ears. With short coat, normally in black and/or cinnamon. Its height at withers must be of 66 cm for male dogs and 61 for female dogs. The weight must be between lower than 50 and 45 kilos, respectively.
