The Belgian griffon differs from the Brussels Griffon, which is more common, only in one detail: it is black and cinnamon, colors that intermixture in all the body. Pure black and gray are acceptable.
Briquet Griffon Vendéen
This variety is smaller than the large Vendéen Griffon. In general it has been recognized since 1910, approximately it is used in the Continent mainly to track the prey and make it fly towards the shotguns.
Its height at withers must be 50 to 55 cm in males and 48 to 53 in females.
Tawny Brittany Griffon Dog Breed

The tawny Brittany griffon is probably older; the modern specimens have surprising similarity with the dogs painted in medieval times. This breed is famous for having been used a long time ago in wolf hunting but nowadays there are a few specimens even in its native country.
It is medium sized and it is very muscular and it has a good skeleton. The eyes are dark and expressive, the nose is black and brown; the ears are hanging and are very long that may reach the tip of the snout. The back is short and wide. The tail must be not so long, slightly curved at the end. The hair, which should not be long and never wooly, is rough at the end.
The color is fawn and it should be gold and reddish brown. The height at withers is 50 to 55 cm in males and 47 to 52 in females.
Harlequin Griffon

The harlequin griffon descends from its relative from the same country that is better known as Pinscher, but the difference is that the Harlequin Griffon is smaller and the coat is predominately white or of a light color with dark uniform patches sometimes multi-colored.
The height at withers is 30 to 35 cm.
