This Balkan type of Greyhound or Foxhound has a vigorous physical constitution and rectangular shape. The head is long and it has a dark brown chestnut color. The eyes are light and round; the ears are fallen; the tail is very short and thick from the base and it can be straight or slightly curved. The colors that prevail are red or chestnut turning to dark brown; it has a black saddle. The height at withers is 46 to 54 cm in males and 44 to 52 in females. The weight is 20 kg approximately.

The tracker hound from Bosnia has a very long and abundant hair that covers it entirely. The eyes are big, oval-shaped and dark brown chestnut. The ears are put high, they are big and rounded at the ends, and are taken hanging. The tail is long and covered by hair.

The height at withers and the weight may vary a lot but a 52 cm of height and 20 kg of weight are ideal.
