Atlanta Dog Breeders

We mentioned to an Atlanta Dog Breeder that we were interested in getting a poodle

. He took quite awhile talking to us and asked us many different questions and then gave us a little background history on poodles which we thought was very entertaining and interesting. During the whole conversation we realized that good Atlanta Dog Breeders actually take their time to not only ask questions and answer them but to let potential future dog owners know about the history and background of the breed as well. We were told that although the poodle was originally bred as a water hunting dog and used expansively in circus acts that this dog stands out as a companion due to its cheerful and clever character.

We were told that this dog is lively, energetic and friendly and that it needs continuous and involved dog training so that it does not become rebellious and naughty. He also let us know about the type of exercise poodles need which is plenty of time to walk and play around regularly outdoors. We live in an apartment and the Atlanta Dog Breeder told us this was fine as long as we made sure to allow her to get plenty of exercise so that it does not get temperamental and naughty. We were surprised to also learn that poodles like to swim! Something the Atlanta Dog Breeder highlighted on was the amount of grooming and care it's coat requires and told us we would have to do this everyday to avoid its hair from getting knotted and matted. The Atlanta Dog Breeder also told us that this is a breed that requires specialized grooming from a professional as well.
