Dog Bites Man on Comedy Central
I was channel surfing the other day when I saw something that was quite strange. There was this spot called dog bites man on Comedy Central. Comedy Central is a TV channel that usually has lots of funny stuff and sometimes the stuff that they have is really senseless. There are times when the stuff that I have seen just made me feel weird. Well this spot on Comedy Central about how a dog bit a man was one of those kinds of shows that I honestly feel just shouldn’t be given any air time at all. What is the point of showing a man get bit by a dog and then trying to call it humor? Now I know that there are times when what one person considers humor is different from what another person considers humor but there is also a limit to what can or should be accepted. If you just put stupid stuff on TV and don’t try and make your programming worthwhile then it really is a waste of time and money. Not only that but the question of dog bites and people is one that needs to be addressed seriously as it is a serious thing that can have really far reaching repercussions. Making a joke out of something so serious seems to indicate a lack of maturity and intelligence on the part of those who are responsible for the programming and planning of the shows and content of the shows that come out on Comedy Central. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy watching Comedy Central and normally find their shows to be not only entertaining but also often informative. Just once in a while I think that they push the limit of the envelope a little too much and even though no one is perfect I think that it would be better for them to be more careful about sensitive topics like dog bites. |
