Dogs that Bite are Dogs that haven’t been trained are un socialized or haven’t been neutered or spayed. Dogs in these types of situations can be dangerous to people. It is every dog owner’s responsibility to be aware of the fact that they must train, socialize and control their dogs. Failing to accomplish this responsibility can result in a Dog Biting a person. Dog trainers and veterinarians are becoming very emphatic about this specific point these days and have said that people that are not willing to take on this responsibility simply should not have dogs. Reports have been made that showed that in the last two years that eighty two percent of all human Dog Bite related fatalities were Dogs that were not restrained on a leash or were either on or off their owner’s property. Due to these factors it would be wise to not get near dogs that do not have a leash on if you do not know the dog. There are certain dogs that are considered more dangerous and more likely to bite which are the Rottweiler and pit bull type dogs but a study was made that concluded that breed specific legislation does not concentrate on the fact that any dog of any type of breed can be dangerous if it is not properly trained and can become aggressive. The amount of damage a dog can cause obviously depends on the dog’s size but this does not take away from the fact that any breed of dogs can bite and attack. Unfortunately the victims that are mostly affected by dog bites are children that are between the ages of five to nine years of age. This is an alarming situation and it is important parents teach their children dog safety attack tips to avoid unwanted accidents. |
