Bite Dog Foot
Probably something that almost everyone has gone through is getting nipped or getting a Dog Bite on their Foot or hand. When this does happen though it isn’t a funny thing as people panic about whether the dog is vaccinated or not and it can cause a lot of problems. In any case, it is always necessary to get ahold of your doctor right away especially if you do not know the dog. Even in cases where the dog has only nipped at you, better safe then sorry. Often times a doctor will not give you any sort of treatment depending on the case but there are times in which he or she will. If you get a Dog Bite on your Foot or any other part of your body, start off by first wiping away any dirt that might be in the wound, then irrigate the wound and get a bottle of sterile saline and a syringe and flush the wound using the syringe. Use as much force as you can when doing this, however if it is too painful (such as in the case of children who would probably not be able to sit during this process) you can also use an antibiotic ointment that has anesthetic ointment in it as well. This can help to ease the pain a little. In the case of a Dog Bite anywhere on your body that looks like a large tear and looks like it might require stitches, you will need to go to get medical attention. Any Dog Bite on the Foot, hand, finger or toe requires medical attention as well that is unless it is simply a small teensy scratch in which case it would need to get properly cleaned. |
