Dog understanding

It might seem a little bit difficult to understand, but in order to reinforce -even more positive conditioning- one must leash the dog before beginning to play. Around five minutes after one has finished doing so, one must follow the same procedure as when being fed, release the dog from the leash.

As also suggested for food ingestion one can be more creative and buy interesting stuff the dog would love to play with. One could buy, for example, some more rubber toys or maybe some other things that would be handed to the dog only at pre-established schedules. The purpose for this is to help correct this inconvenient.

If the phobia shown by the dog is related to the leash, you will have to change it for another leash with different characteristics, and you will proceed in the same way as with the harness. We suggest you buy the extensible type, unless it is this that causes the phobia.

When you start taking the dog for a walk outside, it is suggested that the one who takes him must be the member of the family with whom the dog feels safer or closer to. As pointed out before, the collar or harness will be put on before the game starts without letting him think, constantly motivating him in a positive way ( come!, come!, very good! ) and even showing him his preferred toy, but without letting him get loose from the leash, You will use this as an advantage to take him first to the door and then outside.

No matter what attitude the dog presents, you must take him down the stairs forcing him slightly if necessary. If there is an elevator you shouldn't wait to catch it, you should take the stairs without letting the dog loose interest in going outside. Even when outside one should try to make the dog keep a good attitude towards this new experience.
