Stress and Your Dog
Stress is the one of the most frequent source of learning and behavior problems such as aggressiveness and separation anxiety. These problems are dealt with at length in Section 4. When you notice that your dog is stressed during a training period, stop the exercises and postpone them to a later time, for a stressed dog is not disposed to learn. Let your dog rest alone in his cage, or in an isolated area.

Your Dog's Health: Dogs need exercise to maintain their good mood and health. Exercise allows the spending of excess energy, and prevents behavior problems. A dog needs at least 10 minutes of exercise, twice a day. These exercise periods can occur during a training session, or by taking a walk. Periods of exercise should be integrated to your everyday routine. If the dog is always left in the house, chances are he will be bored, and l will begin to destroy objects in your house for lack of so me thing interesting to do.
