Re-Educating Your Dog
This Section is dedicated to the re-education of behavior problems. In this section, many solutions will be put forth in order to deal with your dog's behavior problems. In many cases, either a problem with basic education or an unsuitable environment for social development can be blamed for bad behavior. With a combination of the Spray Commander device and a re-education program presented by Multivet, you will be well on your way towards solving your dog's behavior problems. If you follow the suggested step-by-step program in this manual carefully, you have every chance to succeed.
Many simulations are necessary to re-educate a dog. Prepare a content re-creating a faulty scenario aimed at correcting the faulty behavior. Although it is possible to correct faulty behavior without having followed and mastered the 10 basic commands (previous Section), it is highly recommended that you revert to it, so that the education is complete. Always keep your manual on hand, should your dog develop new behavior problems that need so me adjusting.
It is not unusual that old bad habits reappear, despite a good education. One or two weekly reinforcement sessions are all that is needed to maintain desired behavior patterns. Certain specific situations must be simulated many times within a week, and be integrated into the family routine in order to change the animal's habits. It must be established that each time the animal displays problem behavior, it must be corrected, even if he is not wearing the spray collar.
