Never Let the Dog Win
For maximum results, the dog must respond to the command at all times. It is important that the dog understand the command; you cannot expect a dog to obey a command that he doesn't understand or master. You must use the command only if you intend to have it respected. If you abdicate your vigilance by giving a command and giving the dog the prerogative to ignore it, the dog will receive the message that it is acceptable to ignore a command. When the time comes when the dog absolutely must obey your command (like company coming), he will not do it. He will be distracted by the guests and will ignore you completely. With Spray Commander, each time the dog doesn't adequately respond to a command he understands clearly, give him the verbal warning "HEY!", and repeat the command; if necessary, use "HEYI + SHORT SPRAY", By never letting the dog win, you have complete control. and the dog will be "well trained". At all times, the dog must want to execute your command. If the dog does something he enjoys, he will be much more motivated and enthusiastic. Furthermore, if he does what you want him to do, he will get what he wants. Like you, the dog prefers doing something because he likes it rather than because he has to do it. l1's not enough to make the dog obey you. You must make him love obeying you, and the dog must be duly rewarded.
The short spray allows you to redirect a dog that is either distracted by an outside stimulus, or he has learned that he has a choice to execute a command or not, without raising your voice or using alienating forms of punishment. A dog will often hesitate to submit himself to education if it means being punished verbally or physically, because punishment doesn't reinforce good behavior. Consequently, the dog acts out of fear instead of having a working partnership with his master. The dog is not interested in facing a problem because he has learned to react passively in the face of adversity and uncertainty. The dog's perception tells him that it is better to do nothing than to take the risk of acting in a way that he could be caught at fault. The spray doesn't scare nor harm the dog, and the master doesn't have to punish the dog verbally or physically. When the spray is used for obedience, it redirects the dog towards proper behavior without using punishment per se. This maintains the dog's motivation and his will to learn. The master redirects the dog without pain nor fear. This doesn't mean that the dog will not commit any errors during the learning process. The Spray Commander device will be efficient only when the dog understands and masters a command.
