Turkish Angora Cat Breed

Origin
Originally from the city of Ankara, Turkey. In this place appeared animals of Angora hair, like rabbits and goats. This breed is known since the XVIC, almost disappeared and when they were crossed with other long-haired cats, they were recovered. In America they were recognized until 1970.

The hair is moderately long, long collar, wavy and abundant in the tail; in the abdomen it is also wavy, thin, soft and characteristically glossy. The Turkish Angora is a long-bodied, relatively fine boned cat, medium in size. The females are smaller. The extremities are long and the rear ones are slightly longer than the front ones and their paws are round with heavy tufting between the fingers. The tail is long, wide at the base and pointed end, always at rest and horizontally over the body when they walk.

The Angora cat has a very pleasant character, agile, healthy, resistant and very adaptable. They are highly intelligent being able to learn very quickly everything that they are tough. They like to be in water which makes it easier to bathe them, if they have an opportunity to be near a fountain, it will go in and refresh itself and if there's fish, it will sure catch it.
