Turk Angora Cat Breed
Many people wrongly uses the name of Angora to refer to any long-haired cat, but the only pure breed of Angora is the Turkish. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Angora's were bred indiscreetly with Persian cats until the loss of the purity of its blood. Even if it is considered extinct, recent imports from turkey have again given life to the pure race cats. The Turk Angora is a pure and natural breed that probably descends from tartar's domestic cats which migrated to Turkey where they are considered a national treasure.
Turk Angora's come in an ample variety of colors except for those that denote hybridization such as chocolate or lavender. Angora's are extraordinary pets, they are considered to be the most intelligent of all breeds in the world and they are very devoted to their owners.
