Tree and board to scratchCats have to sharpen their claws. So that they do not spoil your walls , carpets, or furniture, cats need a tree or board. This is a must in order to have a cat in a flat. Nevertheless, my suggestion is to give your cat a board to scratch, even if your cat can go out fre ely and finds a log where to stick its nails.Tree to scratch: in most of the cases it stretches itself to climb up and accommodate there. The log has to be covered with hemp twines. The surface area and holes at different levels in which the cat can curl up will invite him to climb and hang up (many variations can be found at shops). Two cats could play at ease here. The tree has to be firm and for that it would ideal to secure it to earth, wall or ceiling. My advice: next time you go out for a walk in the forest look for a fallen tree. A solid branch well curled can be perfectly useful. Board: it has to be tightened using hemp twine and nailed to the door frame as high as the cats height when standing up. My advice: one must not conform only with a carpet scrap or a piece of cardboard because it is cheaper. It is not worth it, cats will tear it up in a minute, and then continue with furniture. If you want to save money, cover a clean and empty detergent drum with carpet remnants. It will be the ideal hideaway. Bowls to eat drink and milk: They should be the heaviest and steadiest possible, best if they are made of glassed clay or porcelain (at sale at any pet shop). With the lightest bowls, plastic for example, it may happen that the noise of the feeding bowl being pushed around all over the house may wake one up. It all depends on the cat's temper or mood. Two or three bowls are used: one is for fresh meals, the second one for dry meals and the third one for water. |
