If you are thinking about allowing your cat to go out of the house once it has gotten all of the necessary vaccinations, it would be a good idea to build a cat door. Another thing you will need to make sure when building a cat door, is that other street cats do not go inside your house. If you live in an area that has a lot of "outside" cats, it will probably be convenient for you to get a cat door that opens with a magnetic key, which is a device that is placed on the collar of the cat. These types of cat doors will only open when the "collared" cat is there, and it will remain shut to other animals.

toys and games: All cats enjoy playing, and this is an essential thing to do in order to build a good relationship with your cat. Try to spend dedicate some time every day to playing with your cat. Find out which are its favorite toys and use them to entertain your cat. Make sure though, that the toys your cat likes are not harmful or made out of toxic material. Make sure also to not give it any toys that have sharp points etc.
