Spending time with your cat
During the first few months of a cat's life they need a lot of attention and it is important that you spend time with them not only training and cleaning but also playing with them and having fun with them. However some cats can develop an obsession for wanting to be with you all the time and can resort to undesirable behavior to try and get your attention and time. Some cats will climb curtains, knock over objects on your shelves or even jump on their owners scratching or biting if they don't receive the attention that they want. Now some of these things can seem cute at first but when your cat starts doing these things at two o'clock in the morning you won't find it so funny.
You do not have to play with your cat if you are occupied at that particular moment and your cat must learn that sometimes it will just have to wait. If you are doing something and don't have time to spend with your cat then you must ignore it completely until you have finished with what you are doing.
Ignoring your cat is not something easy to do as cats can be very insistent and will try everything they can to get your attention. However it is the only way to help them to understand that you are busy at the moment.
