Scottish Fold Cat

There are chronicles that speak about cats with folded ears that were brought in to the western world at the end of the nineteenth century, even if it is not possible to assure that these cats were responsible for the origin of the Scottish Fold cat. The truth is that in 1961 in Scotland some kitten with folded ears where bornand one of them was chosen to develop the breed.

Scottish Fold cats have a wide round head with little ears folded backwards, big round eyes separated by a wide nose. It has a short and round compact body, medium sized legs and a round tail tip. A short tail is considered to be a breed defect. Its hair is short and dense but at the same time smooth and elastic. These animals can be found in several colors such as white, black, red, cream, etc.

This cat family is somewhat demanding because it requires a clean environment, adequate nutrition and lots of love.
