Outdoor Cat Houses
I recommend that anyone planning on building an outdoor cat house use wood in the construction. I just got one for my cats and it is perfect. Wooden outdoor pet cat houses make for great homes for cats, tomcats and cat families. Why is wood great? It not only looks good, feels good but it also helps to keep your pets warm in cold weather. The stable and cellular structure of wood allows outdoor wood cathouses and enclosures to withstand the extreme temperatures, humidity and varied season so often found around our great country. Doing your best to make your cat house comfortable is great because it is what c
ats want. They prefer warm, soft and secure places and these are the spots where they sleep deeply and restfully. Normally felines should have a house of their own. If you have a number of cats and you want them to live together inside of the wood house make sure that the cats get along well, are either family or good long time friends. Make sure that any cat house outside is protected from the full force of any wind or blowing rain. There are a number of ways that you can go about assuring this. One of the simplest is to place your cat house on the leeward side of your house. Now not all the wind or rain will come from the same side but you can usually figure out pretty quickly which side of your house bears the brunt of any storms. If the weather gets to extreme don't leave your cat out doors in its cat house but rather you should bring your cat indoors to make sure that it stays safe and warm. Cats once wet and cold will become victims of the bad weather very quickly.
