 | Oriental Cat T his breed was created in the United States in the mid 1970s although ten years before it had been recognized in England. Furthermore, this breed has existed for centuries as a descendant of Siamese cats.It has a very fine textured and shiny short hair. It comes in 26 different colors that can be divided into classes such as shaded, solid, smoke, tiger like and two toned. In 1977, short-hair cat was accepted to compete in the world championship at the exhibitions regulated by the CFA. In 1995 recognition of the oriental long-haired cat expanded. Its head is angle-shaped with triangular and pointed ears and oblique eyes slanted towards the nose. It has a slender stylish and muscular body, varied sized with rear legs slightly longer than those of the front. |
