The Maine Coon Cat

It's not a race bred by men. It is originated from the North American state of Maine, where he lived in freedom. 100 years ago, it was already appreciated as a good rodent hunter. Today, it is bred all around the world as a re-known race.

Aspect: a robust, muscular and strong constitution. It's one of the biggest cat breeds. Males can weigh up to 10 kilograms.

Hair: with a fairly long, smooth and dense hair; thick tail.

Color: all the colors, except the partially albino (Siamese coloration). The tabby with white chest and paws are very popular.

Eyes: gray, orange gilt; on the white cats, several colors (odd-eyed).
