They attack the intestines and other organs. Two of the most frequent parasites (Endoparasites) are the acaroids and the tapeworm.

  • ASCARIDES: adult cats, get infected with this common worm, swallowing ascaride eggj that are found on the floor or in his fur. New born whelps can get infected even through the mothers milk. In case of a mild infection, the worms in the excrement can't be seen al simple sight. When the infection gets serious, the cat can start vomiting worms.
    How to fight them: The veterinary has the adequate products.
    Cats that have not have the vermicide treatment, tend to loose weight and their hair turn opaque. Kitten may see their growth damaged. Only on rare occasions do ascarides attack men.
  • TAPEWORM: The cats tapeworm is a common type of worm. It's transmitted through the ingestion of infected rodents. Rodents are bearers of the tapeworm larva. Another type of tapeworm is also transmitted through fleas.
    Cats expel the tape worms, in the form on rice grains, through the excrements. Sometimes, you can observe them on the excrements ok stuck to the hair on the animal zone.
    How to fight them: the veterinary has the means to fight any contamination of tapeworms without risking the cat.

Toxoplasmosis: Cats can get contagious through infected rodents ok through the consumption of raw meat. If the doesn't ever eat raw meat, doesn't have contact with other cats depositions or doesn't have the time to hunt rodents, the risk of contagiousness disappears.
