Your cat is not going to spend all its time inside its cathouse and will obviously be exposed to the cold weather. So it is important that your cat receive good, healthy food and supplements. Cats should always eat foods that are high in nutritional value but in winter it is even more crucial. Its diet will have a lot to do with your cat's ability to remain healthy during the cold winter months. If you experience hot summers it is also vital that your cat receive a highly nutritional diet but it doesn't need to be as high in calories as the winter diet. Your cat's veterinarian will be able to help you with preparing the menu and necessary supplements for your feline. The vet may also prescribe vitamins for your cat to take.
