Independent and Mischievous?Reserved creature with independent spirit. They like snooping and like to explore different things that have nothing to do with their survival. But being independents in a way also makes them individualistic and calculating. Cats probably wont remember to bring a trophy home or not lie on top of a black suit. However, they will have a great capacity of memory to remember information that will be useful to them, though not necessary for their owner. Cats remember very well what they like to eat and where their plate of water is. Besides everything else, they also remember what tone to use with their owner for them to respond to their demands, generally at eating time they even remember their own name. But they have a selective memory, only with suitable training, they will be able to remember what is expected of them. As for the characteristics that have sometimes been assigned to them as "esoteric", it cannot be denied that these animals not only posses similar characteristics to the human but also have a different type, more advanced and more perfected of intuition even the perception of their own external world. It is proven for example that while a cat sleeps, they experiment sensations and semiconscious experiences if not the same, very similar to the humans. It exists external proof of this: there are changes in corporal positions, feet and nail movement, movement of whiskers and ears, even vocalization. During a profound sleep, a cats' brain is so active as if they were awake and their senses are also alert to receive stimulus. Cats have extremely acute senses and often they react to seemingly calm situations because they distinguish sounds and vibrations and odors that we cant detect. For example they are capable of and with many hours of anticipation; detecting any catastrophe from an earthquake or volcano eruption. During the middle age, cats were associated with black magic: it was thought that they were related to witches or even that witches would transform into cats. Such superstition was fomented maybe by the fact that there are felines that don't like the company of humans or maybe because these animals has always refused to be serviceable like other domestic animals. |
