How to clean a cat's ears, eyes and teeth

How to clean a cat's ears: Usually it's not necessary to clean your cat's ears unless they are dirty. It's recommended to check your cat's ears on a daily basis. Check for any signs of unpleasant odor, redness, or inflammation. If your cat shows any of these symptoms, your veterinarian should check it.

Never put anything inside your cat's ears to clean them, not even cotton balls. If you want to clean its ears clean the skin of the inner ear (not into the canal) and use some baby oil or a moist cotton ball.

How to clean the eyes: Some breeds of cats need the hair under their eyes cleaned from time to time with a moist cotton ball to avoid the build up of dirt that can occur when tears wet the area.

How to clean the teeth: If you really want to help your cat stay in peak health it is a good idea to brush their teeth at least once a week. There are dental hygiene products made especially for cats and you can purchase these in most pet stores. Cleaning a cat's teeth is a difficult job but with patience and a little practice you can prevent your cat from developing the cavities or gum infections that often occur with felines. When your cat is about 5 months old it will lose its baby teeth and after that it is important to at least check their gums and teeth once a week to make sure that their mouths are clean and that their breath doesn't smell bad.
