How to Build a Cat House

After giving a lecture on house to build a cat house I was taking general questions about cat behavior when someone asked about why cats can appear to have momentary lapses of sanity when they just go absolutely berserk. Well although these attacks may seem weird to us, the truth is that it is something normal for cats. Sometimes this will happen after a cat has eaten. There are other times when food has nothing to do with it though. Some cats naturally do this in order to let out accumulated energy. Remember to keep in mind that cats in nature must hunt to get their food. Since as domestic cats they do not have to hunt and because of this factor, you will notice that during one of these episodes a cat might sometimes use a piece of furniture, as it's "hunting target". One good way to resolve this problem could be by letting your cat out everyday so that it can burn off energy. If a cat is locked up in the house for too long, it will normally have these attacks more often than cats that get more exercise. Sometimes cats just use this as a way to get attention from their owners. It can also be dangerous since sometimes kittens or cats will throw themselves on top of their owners and can bite or scratch. Make sure to not pay attention to the kitten or cat that does this, especially to not laugh about it as it might make the cat do it more often. Unfortunately, if a cat discovers that it can get a lot of attention through these "games", it will continue to do it more and more. The best solution for this is to just simply ignore a cat that gets overly excited and tries to get attention this way. Just walk out of the room when the cat does this, and it will eventually get the point.
