General cleanliness

We all know how difficult it is to bathe an adult cat, if it has never been bathed before. General cleanliness of a cat like brushing, baths and nail clipping, should start from an early age so they allow it to be done without any problem. During its first weeks of life, it goes through a period of socialization, where it learns fundamentally to relate with the environment and their members. The period of socialization is during the second and seventh week of life. During this period, at least 40 minutes should be used and it is more effective if several people intervene. These cleanliness activities reinforce the relationship with the owner that way the kitten will feel that the person that does all these tasks is like its second mother.

Feeding
Around week four of age, the mother starts giving the kitten dead preys to eat. Starting then, it starts having preferences for different foods. By adult, it will eat with more taste what it had when younger.

It is convenient starting the fourth or fifth week of life for kittens to start eating solid food, balanced food (damped and dry), getting used to this type of food can help it not have any problems during the rest of its life. Besides the fact that balanced food is a better option, keep in mind that in some cases it is necessary to establish special diets for some illness, making it difficult to change it for some other balanced food especially for its illness.
