Freed cats

Once the cat gets used to the house, take him outdoors onto the free air, be near him while it explores the new surroundings. It will crouch over the grass and will smell every flower, weed and stone around him, soon he will also turn this territory into his territory. Make sure that he may retreat from there if any problem comes forth that bothers him. Normally, it will run to a place it knows well.

A cat door: is largely recommended. Through it the cat can be able to go and come at any time. Pet shops offer several sorts that can easily be installed on doors and windows.

Security on the garden: do not make it easy for them to go out to the garden. Sometimes an adventure like this may be fatal. A possibility would be to install a wire fence two meter high being the top bent towards the inside, so the cat cannot go over it. There must not be any tall trees near it. One should talk about this to neighbor.

My advice: castrate the cat. By doing that one will make the cat wander less and be more at home.

Tattoos: unfortunately cats are taken away for lab experiments is a cruel reality. The most effective protection against these unscrupulous people is to tattoo one's cat. A veterinary with the help of narcotics and a hand gun or some pliers can make a tattoo of a numbered code in the ear's inner side.

One has to immediately register the cat in the corresponding animal protection organization in the country. Most of the laboratories have an agreement to reject tattooed animals and to notify these organizations without delay.
