Examination of the Head and Neck

The injuries of the head can produce a commotion. Sometimes they manifest through an external injury that seems to be a small injury. Practice in the recognition of the head and neck of your cat in search of traumatic injuries.

  1. Put the hands around the head, cheeks and jaws to see if there are any possible bumps or heat excess.
  2. Turn the head to one side and another, and then up and down, to verify if the movement gives him pain. (Before a real emergency, take many precautions. The aching cats act as beasts).
  3. Put your hands around his neck in search of swelling, heat or locks of stuck hair that would indicate the existence of sharp wounds. (The air rifles for example, cause very slight but deep pain, but that is where the hair of the animal gets stuck).
