Cat Climbing & Cats Nails
Cats are able to climb very well and they usually use their nails to hold on to the surface or tree they are climbing. Cats really enjoy grabbing on to objects with their nails like cloth, curtains, or the tapestry of the furniture. If your small kitten does this, make sure to not encourage it by laughing about as it will only encourage it to continue and you might end up with destroyed furniture when it grows into adulthood.
Cat Nails: Cats are very intriguing because they can show them as well as hide them inside their paws when they so decide. You could almost say that their nails are "retractable". This interesting fact avoids their nails from breaking while the cat is walking or sleeping etc. However, whenever a cat needs its nails to hunt or to climb, its nails automatically come out. This could explain why they do not hurt humans (although sometimes they do), but are aggressive when it comes to hunting their prey.
