| Cat WhelpingWhelps, once in a life time: Cat lovers like to discuss about this topic: "We know that it would be irresponsible to abandon the cats to its own luck and not to castrate them, but in reality we do not have any rights to do it. In our opinion, it would be preferable for them to have descendants at least for once in their life". This posture cannot be supported with a scientific basis, in spite of those that say that there is no other part in an animal to which science cannot reach.I think that everything has to do with the desire men have to enjoy and satisfy themselves by raising kittens. Animals, as someone once said, are the last remnants from paradise and knowing it, consciously or unconsciously, everybody wants to receive some of this joy. Five considerations before - Your cat can have up to eight kitten in a litter: have you the possibility to give a home to so many animals? If not, you have to send them to the veterinary to have them injected.
- All cats need a caring and comprehensive person. Are you going to employ all your time and patience to occupy it with finding an adequate home for each kitten?
- Do you want to keep a kitten so that it can become a companion to the mother. Gender has nothing to do with the choice, but a male cat, nonetheless, has to be castrated, if not it will couple with the mother.
- Two cats are more expensive than one: veterinary, food and maybe a second toilet service.
- Cat whelps are not something one can just let go. Are you ready to occupy yourself with the task of trying to find for them enough space, correct nourishment, attention and care? Aren't you going to get mad with the messiness and filth?
Breed cat whelps: When I was given a pedigreed Burmese cat I did not think of the whelps at first, but still I wanted to mate Nina because she is such a gorgeous cat. Besides, I already had several candidates that wanted the kittens. The former owner had already warned me that this business was not easy at all. At the end, it was Nina's fault that we did not have any offspring. With pedigreed cats, for something like this to happen is more than possible. |
