Cat Treats
There are almost as many kinds of cat treats as there is cat food. You should use cat treats as rewards for good behavior or when training. Treats also make a great way to give your cat a little something special just between the both of you. If you don't want to spend money on commercial cat treats you can simply offer your cat small pieces of cooked chicken or fish. Make sure that any meat is free of bones or other dangerous things that could become stuck in your cat's throat or cause damage to its digestive tract. There are certain foods that although consider treats by humans are toxic for cats. Chocolate is one of these and you should never give even a little bit to your cat. It is a good idea to avoid giving your cat human food especially at meal times. If you let your cat steal food from your plate or pass him little morsels while you are eating pretty soon you will have some serious problems with a nuisance cat on your hands.
Eating greens: Most cats will eat grass or other green when they can. The reason for this seems to be that it helps the cat's digestive system. Often the cat will throw up after eating grass but don't become worried, as this is just normal and not the symptom of some more serious illness. If your cat doesn't go outside or if there isn't any grass available for it to eat outside your home you can purchase "grass growers" from your local pet shop that fulfill this purpose.
