Cat's Sleep

During the most profound sleeping, that usually lasts only a few seconds and that is intercalated by long periods of superficial sleeping, cat's move; which indicates the possibility for them to be dreaming. The ears rotate, legs and tail tremble and the whiskers fold.

Dreams are still a mystery, but it seems that during that time cats revive past hunting experiences of they imagine one they would like to have in the future.

When cats sleep calmly he is the self image of satisfaction, more or less than when he purrs.

Purring is instinctive and its the first sound cats hear in his life, due that most of the cats do the sound high and strong while giving to birth. Its significance is as mysterious as is its own source.

You can't speak of communication in the strict sense of the word, overall when cats have other methods for vocal communication.

Though the purring can vary in intensity, it seems they do it out of happiness.

In respect as how the sound is produced, biologists are not in accordance. Some say that they are resounding from the skull but to disorders on the blood flux, but the general is that it is due to the action of the two false vocal cords they have, two membranes situated behind the true vocal cords. This second explanation seems the most real, due that, if we put a finger on the animal's throat, it is possible to perceive the purring much better.
