Cat Postnatal Care
Although the postnatal emergencies are less frequent, not for it they stop being something to bearing in mind. Both the mother and the newborn kitten are exposed to the infections. These also are in risk of being left if the cat is inexpert or is scared. Very rare times the mother trembles or shivers because of a low level of calcium in the blood. If this lack does not treat it can turn out to be fatal.
Is the mother agitated, staggering, tremulous?
Does he have convulsions, anxiety; is nervous, mew a lot?
Does she bend down in attitude of urinating?
Is she weak?
Doesn't have appetite?
Does her temperature is over 39,4ÂșC?
Does she have vaginal suppuration of stinking smell? YES
Go to the veterinarian NOW.
Is there some of her mammary glands warm, reddish, hard, swallowed or it hurts her when it touches? YES
Go to the veterinarian NOW
Does she ignore her small kitties? YES
Phone the veterinarian for advice.
Have some of the kitties lost the appetite?
Does he cry in excess?
Regurgitate the food?
Does he have diarrhea?
Is he weak? YES
Go to the veterinarian NOW
Does someone of the kitties suppurate by the eyes or the nose? YES
Go to the veterinarian within 24 hours.
Continue attending to them in house.
