Cat Playing BallLots of cats get a kick off of playing and chasing balls which are specially made for cats. These balls are usually hollow and very lightweight, sometimes they have bells in them or other things that make the ball very fun to play with. Just watch how you cat goes running after a ball that you have rolled on the ground. Balls always end up under the furniture, so when you are tired of fetching it, you can put it in a big open box. Your cat can then get in the box and play inside and play chasing it inside the box, and you won't have to worry about fetching the ball anymore.Fun paper bags: Paper bags are probably the cheapest toys you can get for your cat, and one of the most fun toys too. Never give a cat a plastic bag though, only paper. To make this game even more interesting, blow the bag up so that it looks like a balloon, and have your cat jump over it and chase it. Another idea is to pull a small cat ball inside the bag and watch to see how the cat struggles to get it out. Hide and seek: Cats really enjoy looking for things, the same way they look for their prey. When cats hunt they use their eyes, ears, and sense of smell, so hide and seek is a game that can develop their natural abilities. Find the treat: This is a very simple and fun game. Find a little treat or knick knack that your cat loves playing with, maybe a piece of chicken or a "cat candy" (from the pet store). Hide it in one room while your cat waits in the other, and then let the cat in to find it. You should hide the treat in an easy to find place so that the cat catches on to the idea of the game. As soon as the cat starts finding things easily, you can go increasing in difficulty and hiding the treat in more complicated places. Try hiding a treat inside a cardboard tube and see if your cat is able to find it. |
