Bites of other animals and abscesses

  1. Calm the cat. Immobilize and put him a muzzle if it is necessary. You do not put in danger; the cat might bite and scratch you if he is still scared or painful.
  2. If the wounded wound is in the chest, cover it with a clean and humid cloth. Bandage it with the sufficient strength for plugging it.
  3. Monitor the possible appearance of a shock, do the CPR if it is necessary, and look immediately for veterinary attention.
  4. If the abdomen is perforated and the internal organs are at sight, wash them immediately with clean water when it is possible, wrap the abdomen of the animal with a  humid and warm sheet, maintain him sheltered and go urgently to veterinarian
  5. If the perforation affects a muscle, clean the wound with oxygenated water diluted to 3 per cent, maintain the cat sheltered, Look for any symptom of shock and go to the veterinarian urgently.

Do not use antiseptics not even disinfectants in wounded wounds in the chest and abdomen. The bites in the legs produces swelling, lameness and changes of conduct.
